About this range

Level Instruments

Level instruments tell operators how much liquid or bulk solid is in a vessel, from boiler drums and chemical tanks to water reservoirs, sumps and silos. Some give a clear reading on site, some trip an alarm or start a pump, and others send a continuous signal to the control room. Power stations, water utilities, chemical plants and process industries choose by medium, pressure, temperature and the output they need. LKS supplies the complete range of level instrumentation in Malaysia.

Types

  • Level Gauge: direct visual reading on boilers, deaerators and vessels, including reflex, transparent, bi colour, tubular and magnetic bypass designs, plus gauge cocks, gaskets and packing.
  • Level Indicator: ruler-board and float-and-cable indicators such as the liquid level indicator, and stage/staff gauges for rivers and channels.
  • Mechanical Level Indicator: large-dial float, rope and counterweight indicators for reservoirs and suction tanks, needing no power.
  • Level Switch: capacitive, rotary paddle, float and floatless conductive switches for high and low alarms and pump control.
  • Level Transmitter: continuous measurement, including the non-contact radar level transmitter and the hydrostatic piezo level transmitter LT-100 with HART.
  • Submersible Level Transmitter: hydrostatic probes with CVD sensing elements lowered into wells, sumps and open tanks.
  • Ultrasonic Level Transmitter: two-wire non-contact units such as the UT1000-3, measuring up to 15 m with 4–20 mA and RS485 Modbus.

Applications

  • Boiler drums, deaerators and pressure vessels in power plants
  • Water reservoirs, suction tanks and pump stations
  • Chemical and process storage tanks
  • Silos and bins holding powders and granules
  • Wastewater sumps, wells and open channels
  • Diesel and storage tanks

How to choose

  • Medium: liquid, conductive liquid, powder or granules.
  • Indication needed: local reading, a switch point, or a 4–20 mA, HART or Modbus signal.
  • Process pressure and temperature, which set the gauge rating and materials.
  • Contact or non-contact measurement, depending on vessel internals and the product.

Our engineers can recommend, install and calibrate the right level instrument for each tank or vessel and support it for years afterwards. Contact LKS for selection help or a quotation.
