Reflex U Bolt Level Gauge

The reflex U-bolt level gauge is a direct-reading level gauge for boilers, deaerators and process vessels. It works on the difference in the refractive indices of liquid and vapour: the gauge glass has prismatic right-angled grooves on the side facing the liquid. In the liquid-filled area the light is absorbed and the glass appears dark, while in the gas- or air-filled area the light is totally reflected and the glass appears bright. The single reflex glass is clamped in a U-bolt type body rated PN64, so the level is indicated reliably with no power supply.
