Mechanical Level Indicator R3
Model R3
Mechanical level indicator R3 with a large round dial that shows water level in reservoirs and suction tanks by float, string and counterweight, with 1% of full scale accuracy, ranges up to 0–30 m and a mild steel case, galvanised or epoxy coated.
Overview
About the Mechanical Level Indicator R3.
The R3 mechanical level indicator shows the water level of reservoirs, suction tanks and similar vessels on a large round dial. A float on the liquid surface is connected by a string over a pulley to a counterweight; as the level changes, the movement turns a gear and shaft that drive the pointer across the dial. The scale and range are selected to suit each tank, in metres or feet, and the mild steel housing is either hot-dipped galvanised or epoxy coated. An optional 4–20 mA loop signal allows the level to be transmitted to a control system.
Features
- Dial sizes from 300 mm to 1500 mm (12" to 60")
- Accuracy of 1% of full scale; zero stability and repeatability ±0.5% of full scale
- Level ranges from 0–3 m up to 0–30 m, or ranges in feet
- Mild steel casing with hot-dipped galvanised or epoxy coating
- Reflective text name plate and optional luminous dial marking
- Optional back cover and stand
- Optional 4–20 mA loop transmit signal (24 VDC)
How it works
- A PVC or stainless steel float follows the liquid surface
- The string runs over a pulley to a brass, cement or stainless steel counterweight
- A brass or stainless steel gear and shaft turn the pointer on the dial
Options
- Float: PVC (standard) or stainless steel SS316
- Rope: nylon-coated stainless steel or nylon, supplied per 10 m roll to suit the range
- Gear and shaft: brass (standard) or stainless steel
- Standard model LI-H24M1024PR1BTX0: 24" dial, hot-dipped galvanised, 0–10 m, reflex text name plate, PVC float, brass weight, back cover and stand
Applications
- Reservoirs
- Suction tanks
- Water tanks and other non-aggressive fluids
