Level Gauge Cock

Level gauge cocks are valves fitted on either side of a glass level gauge to isolate the gauge chamber from the liquid contents of the vessel. Each set comprises an upper and a lower cock. The construction includes a needle drain valve, integral bonnet and drain cock, together with an automatic ball-check shut-off that helps prevent a rapid loss of fluid if the gauge glass is accidentally broken. They are used on boilers, deaerators and process vessels where a glass gauge shows the liquid level.

How it works
