Types

• Chart Recorder: paper-based recording, from the mechanical 9.5 inch circular chart recorder for pressure and temperature to the Sentinel microprocessor recorder with universal inputs and up to six alarms, plus hybrid designs such as the PHC hybrid recorder and the IR7000 inkless recorder that keep logging when the paper runs out.
• Datalogger: paperless recorders that store data internally and export it by USB, SD card or a network link, including the PR4200 with a 5.6" colour display, the economical PR8000 and the DL10/DL20/DL30 touch screen series with 3 to 48 channels.
• Chart Papers & Pen: roll, fan-fold and circular charts with pens, heads and ribbons for ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Fuji, Chino, Dickson, Rototherm, Rustrak, Autonics and other makes.

How to choose

• Count the inputs and their types: thermocouple, RTD, current, voltage or millivolt.
• Paper, paperless or hybrid, depending on whether a printed chart is still required.
• How data will be retrieved: USB, SD card, RS485 Modbus or Ethernet.
• Alarm relays and retransmission outputs needed.
