VOC Gas Analyzer FID
Model GFID
VOC gas analyzer (GFID) that separates volatile organic compounds on a heated chromatographic column and measures them with a flame ionisation detector, from 0.01 to 1000 ppm (as methane) with 0.001 ppm resolution and RS485 Modbus RTU output.
Overview
About the VOC Gas Analyzer FID GFID.
The GFID VOC gas analyzer measures volatile organic compounds using gas chromatography with a flame ionisation detector (FID), one of the effective methods for detecting low concentrations of organic gas. The analyzer works at high temperature: an air bath heating chamber keeps the chromatographic column and the gas paths before and after it hot. The multi-component sample passes through the special packing of the column and is separated as it flows out. A carrier gas then delivers each component to the FID, where the hydrogen flame ionises the molecules and the released electrons generate a signal current proportional to the quantity of gas entering the detector.
Features
- Measuring range 0.01 … 1000 ppm (as methane) with 0.001 ppm resolution
- Automatic back-flushing of the chromatographic column to speed up separation and analysis
- Inert-treated gas lines prevent adsorption and sample residue on the pipe walls
- Configuration supports multiple detectors for complex sample analysis at the same time
- Touch screen LCD
- Ethernet and RS232 ports; RS485 Modbus RTU, GSM and Wi-Fi communication
How it works
- Air bath heating chamber keeps the column and gas paths at high temperature
- Chromatographic column separates the multi-component gas mixture
- Carrier gas transports the separated components to the FID
- Hydrogen flame ionises the molecules; the high-voltage field collects the electrons as a measurable current
Applications
- Crude oil processing
- Textile and dyeing
- Chemical and pharmaceutical plants
- Metal smelting
- Food and beverage industries
