Backscatter Light Dust Monitor D10.8

The D10.8 backscatter light dust monitor is an online device for continuous monitoring of particulate matter concentration from various emission sources. It uses the laser back-scattered light principle with imported core components. A 650 nm laser beam crosses the measuring area and is scattered by dust particles; the back-scattered light passes through a lens onto a photosensitive detector. The circuit and control section converts this light signal into an output proportional to the dust concentration. The D10.8 can be fitted as part of a CEMS or connected to a dust monitoring network that shares one data acquisition and processing system.

How it works

• Optical section: sends the laser beam into the flue gas and collects the back-scattered light
• Circuit and control section: converts the detected light into a signal proportional to dust concentration
• Calibrator: supports in-situ zero and span checks
• Purge system: supplied with gas at the back end of the monitor

• Mounts on a standard flange on the stack
• Rainproof installation at the back end of the monitor
• Power and gas source connect at the back end of the monitor
• Suitable for ducts larger than 0.7 m in diameter
