Mercury Gas Analyzer
Model GHg
Mercury gas analyzer (GHg) using cold vapour atomic fluorescence spectrophotometry (CV-AFS) to monitor elemental, ionic and total gaseous mercury in stack emissions in real time, with a detection limit down to 0.05 µg/m³.
Overview
About the Mercury Gas Analyzer GHg.
The GHg mercury gas analyzer is a continuous emission monitoring system based on cold vapour atomic fluorescence spectrophotometry (CV-AFS). It measures the real-time concentration of mercury in flue gas together with its cumulative emission rate, and can monitor gaseous elemental mercury, ionic mercury and total gaseous mercury. Mercury compounds are catalytically converted at 800 °C before measurement, and the detection limit is as low as 0.05 µg/m³. The system is used to measure mercury in the tail gas of industries such as mercury mineral refining, mercuric chloride catalyst recycling and coal-fired power plants.
Features
- CV-AFS measurement technology with high measurement accuracy
- Samples untreated gas at large flow, with strong resistance to adsorption
- Combined internal and external purge for long maintenance intervals
- Real-time monitoring of the dilution ratio, reflecting true working conditions
- Mercury valence states catalysed and converted at 800 °C, with a conversion rate of up to 95%
- Measuring range from 0–10 µg/m³ up to 200 µg/m³, customisable
- Indication error ≤ ±5% and repeatability ≤ ±1%
Applications
- Coal-fired and waste-to-energy power plants
- Aluminium plants, steel mills and smelting
- Glass factories and cement plants
- Chemical plants, mercury mineral refining and mercuric chloride catalyst recycling
- Ammonia slip emission monitoring
