CEMS for Oil and Gas Refineries
Continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) for oil and gas refineries, combining extractive and in-situ gas analysers with a particulate in-situ analyser to measure SO2 and total PM/dust from catalytic cracking and calcination units.
Overview
About the CEMS for Oil and Gas Refineries.
This continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) for oil and gas refineries measures sulphur dioxide (SO2) and total particulate matter (PM) from catalytic cracking and calcination sources. It combines extractive gas analysers, in-situ gas analysers and a particulate in-situ analyser, chosen to suit each stack. Measured data is handled by a data acquisition system (DAS) and a data interface system (DIS), so emissions can be compared continuously with the limit values for refineries, natural gas processing and storage, and the storage and handling of petroleum products.
Features
- One system covering SO2 and total PM / dust
- Extractive and in-situ gas analysers, plus a particulate in-situ analyser
- Data acquisition system (DAS) and data interface system (DIS)
- Suitable for refineries of all sizes
How it works
- SO2, extractive: NDIR, NDUV, GFC, FTIR, PAS or fluorescence
- SO2, in-situ: DOAS, GFC or FTIR
- Total PM / dust, extractive: light scatter or beta absorption
- Total PM / dust, in-situ: transmissometry or triboelectric, double pass or single pass
Emission limit values
- Catalytic cracking: SO2 1200 mg/m³, total PM 40 mg/m³
- Calcination: total PM 40 mg/m³
DOE / EPA requirements
- Supplier listed as an appointed and approved company on the DOE / EPA website
- TUV / MCERT certificate
- Data acquisition system (DAS) and data interface system (DIS)
Applications
- Oil and gas refineries
- Natural gas processing and storage
- Storage and handling of petroleum products
