Overview

About the WSTS1001 TSS Sensor.

The WSTS1001 TSS sensor is a probe-type total suspended solids sensor installed directly in the process (in situ). It works on the light scattering principle: infrared light passes into the water sample and is scattered by the particles present, and a photodetector measures the light scattered back. The amount of light detected gives the TSS level, so more particles mean more scattered light and a higher reading. A wiper keeps the optical surface clean for accurate readings. The sensor is used in sewage and wastewater treatment, industrial water production and tap water plants.

Features

  • Infrared light scattering measurement
  • Wiper keeps the measuring surface clean, with a 10 or 15 minute cleaning interval set via the meter
  • Three ranges up to 120,000 mg/L
  • SS316L stainless steel body for in-situ installation
  • RS485 Modbus RTU output
  • Power consumption below 25 W

Applications

  • Sewage treatment plants
  • Wastewater treatment processes
  • Industrial water production
  • Tap water plants
