About this range
Turbidity/Total Suspended Solids
Turbidity and total suspended solids (TSS) instruments measure how much particulate matter is carried in water, by detecting how the sample scatters light. Turbidity is reported in NTU and shows clarity, while TSS is reported in mg/L or g/L and shows the solids load. Drinking water plants, wastewater treatment operators and power plants use turbidity and TSS monitoring to control filtration, settling and discharge. LKS (M) Sdn. Bhd. supplies online turbidity and TSS instruments from TGI German Technologies in Malaysia.

Our range
- WSTB1003 low range turbidity sensor: flow-through, 90° light scattering, 0–20.00 NTU, for drinking water and pure water.
- WSTB1002 high range turbidity sensor: in-situ infrared scattering up to 4000 NTU with a self-cleaning wiper and SS316L body.
- WSTS1001 TSS sensor: in-situ infrared scattering with ranges up to 120,000 mg/L and a wiper on a settable cleaning interval.
- WMTB1001 turbidity meter: an online panel meter with 0.0–20 NTU or 0.00–10000 NTU ranges, alarm relays and Modbus RTU.
- WMTS1001 TSS meter: an online meter for suspended solids up to 120 g/L, storing one month of history.
Applications
- Drinking water after filtration or membrane treatment
- Pure water systems
- Sewage and wastewater treatment
- Settling and clarifier performance checks
- Power plant water systems
- Effluent discharge monitoring
How to choose
- Use a low-range turbidity sensor for clean water and a high-range or TSS sensor for wastewater.
- Decide between flow-through installation and in-situ immersion in a tank or channel.
- Choose sensors with a wiper where fouling is likely.
- Pair the sensor with a meter if you need a local display, relays or 4–20 mA output.
LKS can match sensor and meter, install them and calibrate the system on site. Contact our engineers to plan your turbidity or TSS measurement.
