Overview
About the WSTB1002 High Range Turbidity Sensor.
The WSTB1002 high range turbidity sensor is a probe-type sensor installed directly in the process (in situ). It works on the light scattering principle: infrared light passes into the water sample and is scattered by the particles present, and a photodetector measures the amount of light reflected back. The more particles in the sample, the more light is scattered and detected, giving a higher turbidity reading. A wiper keeps the optical surface clean for accurate readings, and the sensor communicates over RS485 Modbus RTU, making it suitable for sewage, wastewater, industrial water and tap water plants.
Features
- Infrared light scattering measurement, up to 4000 NTU
- Accuracy < ±2% FS
- Wiper keeps the measuring surface clean and the reading accurate
- SS316L stainless steel main body with PVC covers and cable
- RS485 Modbus RTU communication, 12 V DC supply
- Compact 60 × 256 mm probe, 1.65 kg
- Sample calibration and slope calibration
How it works
- An infrared light source shines into the water sample
- Particles in the sample scatter the light
- A photodetector measures the light reflected back, which rises with turbidity
Applications
- Sewage treatment plants
- Industrial production water
- Wastewater treatment processes
- Tap water plants
