Overview
About the Industrial Conductivity Sensors.
These industrial conductivity sensors measure the conductivity of water continuously and online across a wide range of industries. An AC voltage is applied between the outer two electrodes, which induces an ionic current in the solution; this current is proportional to the concentration of ions in the water and is measured to give the conductivity value. The electrodes are made of conductive materials such as stainless steel, titanium alloy or platinum, and the series is available in compression-type and pipe thread-type versions with cell constants from 0.01 to 30.
Features
- Five cell constants (K=0.01, 0.1, 1.0, 10.0 and 30.0) to match low- or high-conductivity water
- Double-cylinder titanium alloy structure that naturally oxidises to form a chemically passive surface
- Anti-infiltration conductive surface resistant to all liquids except hydrofluoric acid
- K=10.0 and K=30.0 electrodes use a large-area platinum structure resistant to strong acid and alkali, with strong anti-pollution capacity
- Built-in temperature sensor with real-time temperature compensation; compensation element (NTC 2.252K, 2K, 10K, 20K, 30K, PT100, PT1000) specified by the user
- RS485 output with standard Modbus RTU protocol and transmission distance up to 500 m
- Remote setting of electrode parameters and remote calibration
- Fast response, low maintenance cost and stable long-term operation
Selecting the cell constant
- Low-concentration solutions need closely spaced electrodes for a stronger signal, so the cell constant is reduced to 0.1 or 0.01
- High-conductivity solutions read more accurately with a longer path length, i.e. a higher cell constant of 10 or more
- The electrode type must be specified at purchase according to the installation method
Applications
- Pure water and ultra-pure water plants
- Thermal power plant water treatment
- Sewage treatment
- Seawater purification
- General water treatment
- Acid cleaning (K=30.0)
