DSMG1310T Digital pH Sensor

The DSMG1310T digital pH sensor is an online pH electrode with automatic temperature compensation built into the electrode, so every reading is corrected in real time. It works on the electrochemical ion-selective principle: hydrogen ions in the sample interact with an H+ sensitive glass membrane, and the resulting potential is compared with a sealed reference system and converted into a pH value. The sensor sends its readings digitally over RS485 (Modbus RTU), and suits sewage treatment plants, water plants, water stations, surface water and industrial monitoring.

How it works

• Measurement electrode: pH 7 buffer solution, permeable glass membrane, Ag/AgCl wire
• Reference electrode: 3.8 M KCl, non-permeable membrane, Ag/AgCl wire
• H+ ions at the glass bulb create a potential through ion exchange, detected by the silver wire
• The potential is compared against the reference electrode and converted to pH
• Readings above pH 7 indicate a basic sample, below pH 7 an acidic sample
