Overview
About the Total Phosphorus Analyzer WATP2001.
The WATP2001 total phosphorus analyzer is an online analyzer for continuous measurement of total phosphorus in water. Under neutral conditions the sample is digested, converting all phosphorus into orthophosphate. Under acidic conditions the orthophosphate then reacts with molybdate and antimony potassium tartrate to form phospho-molybdic acid, which ascorbic acid reduces to a blue complex. The amount of blue complex is proportional to the orthophosphate, and colorimetric measurement gives the total phosphorus content. It is used in sewage and wastewater treatment, industrial water and the drinking water industry.
Features
- Imported core components for high reliability and long lifetime in long-term online monitoring
- Photoelectric measurement with a special measuring algorithm, accurate sampling and low sample injection error
- All wetted parts specially tested for a long service life
- Specially designed flow path to prevent blocking
- Automatic chromaticity and turbidity compensation for real water samples
- Bubble agitation for thorough mixing of samples and reagents
- Reagent leak alarm with maintenance reminders
- Self-diagnosis function that alarms and displays faults on screen
How it works
- Digestion: all phosphorus is converted into orthophosphate under neutral conditions
- Colour reaction: orthophosphate forms a blue complex with molybdate, antimony potassium tartrate and ascorbic acid
- Measurement: colorimetric (UV spectrophotometric) reading proportional to total phosphorus
Applications
- Sewage treatment plants
- Industrial production water
- Wastewater treatment processes
- Drinking water industry
- Process monitoring in industrial facilities
