Overview

About the WACU2001 Copper Water Analyzer.

The WACU2001 copper water analyser is an online instrument dedicated to monitoring copper in water samples. It works by spectrophotometry: citrate is added as a masking agent to prevent interference from other metal ions such as cobalt, the sample pH is adjusted to an alkaline state and a colour developer is added. A UV-VIS spectrophotometer then compares the colour at a fixed wavelength, and the copper concentration is calculated from the absorbance of the sample. It is used for drinking water and for monitoring plankton and algae growth.

Features

  • UV-VIS spectrophotometry with citrate masking against interfering metal ions
  • Photoelectric measurement with accurate sampling and low sample injection error
  • Automatic chromaticity and turbidity compensation for real water samples
  • Hybrid mixing or bubble agitation for thorough mixing of sample and reagent
  • Flow path designed to prevent blocking; wetted parts tested for long service life
  • Reagent leak alarm and maintenance reminders
  • Self-diagnosis with on-screen alarms
  • One reagent set covers 250 measurements

Applications

  • Drinking water monitoring
  • Monitoring of plankton growth
  • Monitoring of algae growth
