Triboelectric Dust Monitor DM11
Model DM11
DM11 triboelectric dust monitor that measures stack and duct dust concentration from 0 to 1000 mg/m³, detecting particles from 0.1 to 200 µm, with 4–20 mA or RS485 Modbus RTU output, IP65 enclosure and probe lengths up to 1000 mm.
Overview
About the Triboelectric Dust Monitor DM11.
The DM11 triboelectric dust monitor measures dust concentration in stacks and ducts using the triboelectric effect. When solid particles strike an isolated metal probe, or pass close to it, they transfer electric charge to the probe. This charge is amplified and converted into a 4–20 mA signal or an RS485 Modbus RTU output proportional to dust concentration. The DM11 detects particles from 0.1 to 200 µm across a 0–1000 mg/m³ range, is suitable for high-pressure applications up to 1 MPa, and is used in cement plants, ironworks, chemical plants, rubber and carbon plants, waste incinerators and power plants.
Features
- Detects solid particles with diameters from 0.1 µm to 200 µm
- Measurement range 0 … 1000 mg/m³
- For high-pressure applications up to 1 MPa
- 4–20 mA output or RS485 Modbus RTU
- Probe lengths of 200, 400, 600, 800 or 1000 mm
- IP65 enclosure, 24 V DC supply
- Easy to install, adjust and maintain
How it works
- Particles impacting or passing the isolated metal probe transfer charge to it
- The charge is amplified by the electronics
- The signal is converted to an output proportional to dust concentration
Applications
- Cement plants: coal ash and raw materials, cement and concrete products, kilns and air quality control systems
- Ironworks: steel sintering, casting and coke ovens
- Chemical plants: catalysation and smoke removal
- Rubber and carbon plants: raw material handling
- Waste incinerator plants: environmental monitoring and incinerators
- Coal-fired power plants
