Oval Flow Meter

The oval flow meter is a positive displacement volume meter for oils, fuel oil, chemicals and other liquids. Its measuring element is a pair of high-precision toothed oval gears, driven by the flowing medium and meshing with each other. Each rotation of the gear pair transports a defined volume through the measuring chamber, so the number of rotations, detected by a sensor element, is a direct measure of the quantity that has passed. The pocketless metering chamber suits a wide range of liquids including chemicals, and the meter is available with mechanical pointer counters or an electronic display with pulse, 4–20 mA or RS485 output.
