Flue Gas Flow Meter PFT-100

The PFT-100 flue gas flow meter is an integrated temperature, pressure and velocity monitor for emission stacks. A pitot tube with a high-precision micro-differential pressure sensor and a static pressure sensor measures the gas velocity, while a temperature transmitter records the flue gas temperature. A built-in purge unit keeps the pitot clear, so the meter can run continuously in high-dust, high-temperature, high-humidity and low-flow flue gas. It works alongside a CEMS to give real-time temperature, pressure and velocity, and an LCD operation unit shows all measured data and signals for easy reading and debugging.

• Low flow measurement down to 2 m/s, using an ultra-low-range pressure sensor
• Velocity range 0 … 40 m/s, or 0 … 15 m/s as an option
• Auto timing or manual calibration of dynamic pressure and flow rate, with auto zeroing
• Purge unit with settable timing, for high-dust flue gas
• Anti-blocking, anti-corrosion pitot in 316 / 316L stainless steel
• Over-pressure protection for the pressure sensor, lowering operating cost
• LCD operation unit; settable parameters include purge timing, velocity field and pitot coefficient
• Three 4–20 mA outputs and one RS232/485 interface, with strengthened output protection

How it works

• The differential pressure transmitter measures total pressure and static pressure at the pitot
• The total pressure port faces the oncoming flue gas; the static pressure port faces downstream
• Both ports must be aligned with the flow direction during installation
• Vertical and horizontal installation are both possible
