DIN Rail RJ45 Ethernet Surge Protector LP-C/RJ45

The LP-C/RJ45 is a lightning and surge protector for Ethernet networks. It is connected in series in CAT6 network cables and is compatible with 10/100/1000/10000 (10G) Base-T Ethernet systems, protecting connected equipment such as computers, routers and PoE devices against damage from over-voltage surges. The unit snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail and has a line-side and an equipment-side RJ45 socket, with a built-in 4 mm grounding terminal for a reliable earth connection. Multi-stage protection with gas discharge tubes and diodes limits line-to-line voltage to below 45 V.

How it works

• The protector is inserted in series in the CAT6 cable between the line side and the equipment side
• Surges on lines 1, 2, 3 and 6 are diverted to PE/GND through gas discharge tubes and diodes
• The ground terminal is connected with a 3 mm² multi-strand soft wire
