CCTV BNC Surge Protector LP-C/BNC

The LP-C/BNC is a DIN rail surge protector that guards CCTV and video monitoring systems against overvoltage caused by lightning strikes. It sits in the coaxial video line through BNC connectors and diverts surge current to earth before it reaches cameras or recorders. Multi-stage protection, combining a gas discharge tube to ground with a series resistor and a fast diode stage as shown in the wiring diagram, limits the residual voltage to below 80 V line to line. The unit mounts on a standard 35 mm rail and has a built-in 4 mm grounding terminal for a reliable earth connection, while its low insertion loss keeps the video signal clear.

How it works

• Surge current on the video line is diverted to earth through a gas discharge tube
