DB9 Signal Lightning Protector LP-C/DB9

The LP-C/DB9 series lightning protector is a surge protection device for equipment with a DB9 serial interface. Fitted in line on the DB9 connector, it protects RS-232 and RS-485 ports against induced overvoltage, overcurrent and other transient surge voltages caused by lightning or industrial noise, which could otherwise permanently damage equipment or cause a sudden interruption. Two versions are available: LP-C/DB9-5 for RS-232 at 5 V and LP-C/DB9-12 for RS-485 at 12 V. Its compact ABS housing keeps transmission performance high with low insertion loss.
