Lightning Counter LP-JS

The LP-JS lightning counter detects and records the number of lightning arrester discharges, giving a record of the lightning current surges reaching an installation. These counts help users track lightning activity in specific areas and support statistics and analysis of the protection system. The counter senses surge current by coil induction: an induction loop or chip is fitted on the earthing (PE) line and connected to the counter's input terminals. It works with a variety of lightning protection devices and can be supplied as a matching product for lightning protection boxes and other equipment.

How it works

• An induction loop or induction chip is fitted on the earthing (PE) line
• The loop connects to counter ports 1 and 2; the unit is powered at 220 V through its L and N terminals
• Each surge current of 1 kA or more through the earthing line is registered as one count
