Remote Monitoring System
Remote monitoring system that collects 4–20 mA sensor signals at remote monitoring units (RMU) and sends them to a central server over SMS, GPRS/Edge/3G or Wi-Fi, with a 2.8-inch touch display on each RMU and a DOE query manager.
- Category
- Remote Monitoring System
Overview
About the Remote Monitoring System.
This remote monitoring system links field sensors to a central monitoring server. Each remote monitoring unit (RMU) reads 4–20 mA sensor signals and sends the data to the server by SMS, by GPRS, Edge or 3G, or over Wi-Fi, depending on the RMU version. The server software includes a manager program for each communication route and a DOE query manager, and the layout shows the link onward to the DOE server for emission reporting. Each RMU has a 2.8-inch touch display that shows 24-hour trends and is used to configure the unit locally.
Features
- RMU inputs: 4–20 mA, single-ended, 12-bit, non-isolated (isolated model available)
- RMU versions for SMS, GPRS/Edge/3G and Wi-Fi communication
- GSM modem included (SIM card not included)
- 2.8-inch touch TFT showing 24-hour measured values as a graph, with channels shown in turn
- Touch configuration of 4–20 mA scale, unit of measure, graph screen changing time, GSM/GPRS/Edge/3G/Wi-Fi settings and connection status
How it works
- Sensors with 4–20 mA outputs connect to the RMU
- The RMU sends data by SMS, GPRS/Edge/3G or Wi-Fi to the main remote monitoring server
- Server programs: main remote monitoring server software, SMS Manager, GPRS Manager, TCP Manager and DOE Query Manager
- Server hardware, operating system and backup are supplied by the user
Applications
- Remote monitoring of 4–20 mA field instruments
- Emission monitoring sites reporting to the DOE server
