Ion
Ion meters and ion selective sensors measure the concentration of a specific dissolved ion in water, such as fluoride, chloride, nitrate, ammonia nitrogen or calcium. Each ion selective electrode responds to one target ion, giving a continuous reading that general parameters like conductivity cannot provide. Water treatment operators, wastewater plants and industrial users monitor these ions for process control and discharge quality. LKS (M) Sdn. Bhd. supplies online ion measurement from TGI German Technologies in Malaysia.

Our range
- WMION1001 ion meter: an industrial online meter that shows concentration, temperature, time and status on one display, with ±2.5% accuracy, isolated 4–20 mA output and an IP54 aluminium housing.
- WSION1001 ion selective sensor: an online composite electrode with a PTFE annular liquid junction and solid electrolyte for pressure resistance and resistance to fouling.
Both cover fluoride, chloride, nitrate, ammonia nitrogen and calcium, across a measuring range of 0.2 µg/L to 2300 mg/L, with automatic temperature compensation referenced to 25 °C.
Applications
- Fluoride monitoring in drinking water treatment
- Ammonia nitrogen and nitrate in wastewater treatment
- Chloride monitoring in process and cooling water
- Calcium and hardness-related monitoring
- Online water quality stations
How to choose
- Select the electrode for the ion you need to measure; each sensor targets one ion.
- Confirm the expected concentration sits within the measuring range.
- Pair the sensor with the WMION1001 meter where a local display and 4–20 mA signal are needed.
- Allow for regular calibration, which ion selective electrodes require.
Our team can supply the meter and sensor as a matched set, install them and carry out calibration. Contact LKS to discuss your ion monitoring point.
