About this range

Subsea Temperature Monitoring

Subsea temperature monitoring measures water temperature below the surface by lowering a sealed sensor on a long cable into a well, tank, reservoir or open water. Unlike a fixed process thermowell, the probe is submersible and can be raised and lowered to take readings at different depths. Engineers, survey teams and water operators use it where temperature must be checked deep below the surface. LKS supplies subsea temperature monitoring equipment in Malaysia, matched to the required depth, range and pressure rating.

Our range

  • Subsea Temperature Monitoring STM: the STM system pairs a submersible STM-PT100 platinum resistance sensor with a manual or motorised cable reel up to 500 m long. The element is Class A to the former JIS C1604-1981 standard and measures from −200 … 350 °C, with other ranges on request. The IP68 sensor has 316 stainless steel wetted parts and is available with pressure ratings of 16, 40 or 64 bar.

Applications

  • Temperature profiling at depth in water bodies
  • Portable field surveys with a cable reel
  • Submerged locations where a standard probe cannot be fitted

How to choose

  • Depth: select the cable length up to 500 m and a manual or motorised reel.
  • Pressure: choose a 16, 40 or 64 bar rating to suit the depth.
  • Temperature range: the standard range is −200 … 350 °C; ask for other ranges if needed.

LKS can supply, commission and calibrate subsea temperature monitoring systems across Malaysia. Tell our engineers the depth and medium, and we will prepare a recommendation and quotation.
